Women's Fellowship: Join the ladies on Tuesdays in the Fellowship Hall at 10:00 a.m. We're studying Jeremiah--Demanding Love, a Life Guide Bible Study written by Stephen D. Eyre. Kay Wallace is directing the lessons. Don't forget to bring your Bibles!
Are you gathering your castoffs for the garage sale coming up April 14?
Wednesday Night Bible Study led by Pastor Tim Mink will be held in Fellowship Hall, at 7:00 p.m.
Join us on Sunday mornings at 8:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall for a pre-Sunday School meeting. Cecil Wallace is leading the class in a study of Psalms in Room 1 downstairs.
W.E.B. If the weather cooperates we will meet Wednesday, February 22, 10:00 a.m. in the upper parking area of the Chapel and carpool to Mrs. Lee's Daffodil Garden in Gladewater, followed by lunch at a local restaurant. In case of inclement weather it will be a Game Day beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Bring your favorite game. Refreshments will be furnished.
HLRA Blood Drive wll be held on Friday, February 24, at Holly Hall from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Carter BloodCare is offering Dallas Stars tickets; visit www.GameOnGiveBlood.org for information about the February game promotion. Your donation may save as many as three lives and may also asist area residents with costs not covered by insurance.
Fellowship Dinner will be Sunday, February 26, at 5:30 p.m. It's "pot luck" so bring your favorite dish/dessert. Sign up sheets are in the Narthex.
Highway 80 Mission in Longview urgently needs hats, gloves, scarves, and blankets. Also needed now are bath and face towels, razors, body wash and deodorant. Ongoing needs include men's, women's and children's clothing. You may bring your donations to the Chapel and they will be delivered to the Mission.
Children's Services: The Chapel is making changes in the biblical training of children and in the nursery and needs your help.
- Bible Training Teachers - You can make a difference in the biblical knowledge of children and prepare them to attend regular worship services by volunteering to teach Sunday School (9:00-10:00 a.m.) and/or Church School (10:00-11:00 a.m.). Several volunteers are needed to share the responsibility for teaching these two classes. Contact Randy Beard to discuss these opportunities to make a difference.
- Nursery Volunteers - The Chapel is improving nursery services in the hopes of attracting families with children to the Chapel. Enough volunteers (females only) are needed to allow us to staff the nursery with two unrelated, female adults whenever a child is present. Your participation in this ministry is important to the Chapel's growth. Nursery volunteer applications are available on the table in the Narthex and on the Children's Services link above.
Your Stephen Ministry is sponsoring a program on Thursday evening, April 19, 2012, at 6:00 p.m. on Long Term Care Insurance. This is being presented to help clarify and clear up questions and misconceptions about Long Term Care Insurance. Click on the Stephen Ministry link above for more details.
