What is a service like?
Our Sunday morning services start at 10:00 a.m. and last about an hour. Every service typically includes music, teaching, and prayer, and sharing information about church events and needs. Other elements happen on a more occasional basis, such as baptism, communion, and etc.
Our worship music draws from several different styles performed by guest singers and guest musicians. The crowd engages in worship by singing together.
The worship service is grounded by the teaching of the Bible. We want our services to be God-centered, emotionally inspiring, and intellectually challenging.
Is this a safe place to explore Christianity?
No matter where you are spiritually, we hope that you will feel welcome at our church and leave wanting to know more about Jesus.
What should I wear?
We believe that the heart attitude matters more than appearance. If coming to worship Jesus means wearing jeans and a t-shirt, then wear that. If it means being more formal, even something like a suit and tie or a dress, then wear that. You will see a variety of apparel at our church. The beauty of the gospel is that it is about Jesus, not about us.
Are there resources for my kids on Sunday mornings?
Your children are welcome to stay with you, if your family is most comfortable that way, or the can attend our children's programs. There is a nursery for babies and toddlers ages three and under. The nursery is open to receive children at 9:45 a.m. (approximately fifteen minutes before the Sunday worship service begins). Our nursery provides a safe, secure, and loving environment where your little one can enjoy colorful and age-appropriate toys.
If you have children between the ages of four and eight, they are invited to attend the worship service with you. However, we do provide Children’s Church during the 10:00 a.m. service under the direction of Suzan Armstrong and Alyne Harrell. For children age nine to twelve, there is Junior Church during the 10:00 a.m. service under the direction of Francine Evans. The pastor will announce the start of Children’s Church and Junior Church just before his sermon. Both programs are creative and fun, yet serious about helping children grow spiritually in their understanding of and relationship to God.
Our teachers and assistants are committed to being there weekly to provide stable and loving relationships that promote spiritual growth.
